We hosted the Christmas-time traditional battle with Bingley Camera Club on 1 December this year. There was a change in format requiring 30 digital images from each club (instead of the usual 15 prints and 15 DPIs). As a result there was no official 'who is leading at the half way stage' announcement at the tea break and all the drama was kept to the end.
Although BPS won, it was virtually a draw since our lead was a single point! (470 to 469).
There were two 20s. 'Mind the Gap' by Nigel Lumb who also won the Best Newcomer's Award for Bingley, and 'Night Walk' by Andrew Holland who won the Best Image Award for the evening (see header Image)
Alex Daniel won the Best Newcomer's Award for BPS with his 'Battling it Out' which scored 19.
As usual Howard Tate MA(Phot) ARPS AFIAP did a magnificent job in judging the images having not seen them in advance. His constructive comments will be very useful for those of us lower down the pecking order!
L to R Tom Heggie (BPS), Howard Tate (judge), Mick Houghton (Bingley)
Guess who won!
