The Lord Mayor of Bradford hosted a celebration reception for the BPS on Monday 8th November 2010 to commemorate 150 years of the Bradford Photographic Society, one of the oldest societies of its kind in the world.
The society, which had over 200 members in its heyday, is still soldiering on, with around 40. Members, past and present, donated photographic prints for an exhibition held in City Hall's grand foyer, and are for sale, with proceeds donated to the Lord Mayor's appeal: Nell Bank outdoor education centre.
